Manitoba Digital Agriculture Table

Sharing expertise to grow the capacity of digital agriculture

The Manitoba Digital Agriculture Table was officially founded in June of 2020, co-hosted by EMILI and Manitoba Industry-Academia Partnership (MI-AP). Members represent leaders from industry, government organizations, and post-secondary. The table is committed to sharing its expertise to enhance Manitoba's competitive advantage, and grow the collective agricultural capacity and the provincial economy.

Over the last three years, the table has engaged with over 200 experts from industry and academia, working together to address the industry’s growing need for a skilled workforce with a focus on engaging students from non-traditional backgrounds in STEM and digital agriculture.

What is digital agriculture?

The Manitoba Digital Agriculture Table defines digital agriculture as the application of intelligent technologies to any or all the components of the agri-food value chain before, during, and after on-farm production.

Our shared vision

The Digital Agriculture Table is jointly led by Manitoba’s Industry-Academia Partnership and the Enterprise Machine Intelligence and Learning Initiative.

Our shared vision for Manitoba’s Digital Agriculture Table is that Manitobans from our robust agri-food industry and post-secondary institutions have committed to sharing their expertise to enhance our competitive advantage, growing our collective agricultural capacity and the economy of Manitoba.

Working together, we can increase integration of intelligent technologies, empower people with digital skills, support scale-ups to grow in the prairies, and accelerate Manitoba's growth as a leader in digital agriculture.
