Agi3 is combining a commercially available quadruped robot with digital imaging that is enhanced by machine learning to scout crops in the field. This could save time and labour as well as increasing the coverage of the field to better identify weeds, pests, and disease. The crop scouting robot will be tested in wheat, canola, and soybeans on Innovation Farms to determine the ability of this type of robot to perform this scouting function.
