Proof of concept: joint program assists development of farm-ready technology (GrainsWest)
A recent GrainsWest Magazine article talks about work taking place on EMILI’s Innovation Farms to test, demonstrate and validate new technologies and the insights we gain using FCC AgExpert Field and Accounting software.
The farm annually hosts between 25 and 30 field-scale research projects. These could include drone research or innovative crop scouting methods.
According to Jacqueline Keena, EMILI managing director, the organization’s top priority is to facilitate testing and demonstration of new technology to benefit Canadian farmers. “We want the solutions we test and validate to be farmer-centric,” said Keena. “They need to work in a way that’s real for growers at a commercial scale and able to be deployed and provide value immediately.”
