EMILI is an industry-led non-profit that works collaboratively with producers, industry, investors, and innovators to grow a sustainable and economically resilient digital agriculture industry. We aim to increase the development and adoption of on-farm technology, connect agtech entrepreneurs with support and resources, expand awareness of diverse career opportunities, and equip current and future workers in the agriculture and agri-food sector with the tools, knowledge and skills needed to significantly contribute to our evolving industry.
Working together, we can increase the integration of intelligent technologies, empower people with digital skills, and support startups to grow in the Prairies. To date, this includes:
We are guided by four strategic priorities to provide people with the connections, skills, training, and resources they need to excel in digital agriculture. View our current projects to see how we’re putting our priorities into action.
We help to develop Canadian agricultural technologies by creating space to test digital solutions and techniques on a full-scale commercial farm.
We connect agtech and agri-food start-ups and scale-ups with resources, mentorship, and financial support to help develop digital agriculture technologies and attract new business to Manitoba.
We engage with diverse stakeholders and technologies to create opportunities for people from non-agriculture backgrounds to obtain the skills they need to thrive in a digital agriculture career.
We support agricultural innovation by aligning and collaborating on research to advance the mobilization between academic research and industry R&D.
EMILI is unique in its ability to test and validate agricultural technology in a full-scale, commercial setting while also creating opportunities to engage students to showcase this technology in action.
