EMILI and BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada (BASF) have announced a strategic collaboration to advance the development and adoption of digital farming solutions that increase on-farm productivity and sustainability.
Collaborating with BASF increases EMILI’s ability to advance innovation and foster engagement in agtech solutions and production practices that enable farmer-centric, sustainable technologies and techniques, a focal point at EMILI’s Innovation Farms powered by AgExpert and its annual Agriculture Enlightened conference.
“I am very pleased to announce this collaboration with BASF. They are a longstanding global leader in agricultural innovation, focused on delivering sustainable solutions for growers, now and into the future.,” said EMILI Managing Director Jacqueline Keena. ”Their multi-year commitment increases EMILI’s ability to support innovators and foster engagement in cutting-edge technologies and production practices.”
During the 2026 growing season, EMILI will demonstrate and gather feedback on BASF’s xarvio® FIELD MANAGER to showcase its ability to provide precise, field-specific crop management advice on a full-scale Manitoba farm. Insights from these demonstrations will be shared with growers, researchers, and ag-tech stakeholders during field tours and events on EMILI’s Innovation Farms.
xarvio® FIELD MANAGER is a digital software platform that combines growth stage and disease modelling, weather and satellite data, along with field history, to provide real-time agronomic recommendations. The platform is designed to help producers and agronomists quickly identify key risks and opportunities and provide them with data-driven insights to inform crop management decisions.
EMILI and BASF share a vision of advancing innovation adoption in Canada through increased understanding, development, and adoption of digital tools that benefit farmers.
Demonstrating xarvio® FIELD MANAGER at EMILI’s Innovation Farms during the 2026 growing season will showcase how BASF’s technology works in the Canadian Prairies in a full-scale commercial farm setting.
“By deploying xarvio® FIELD MANAGER at EMILI, we’re showcasing full-scale digital agronomy in real-world farming situations unique to the Canadian Prairies,” said Jason Leitch, Head of Digital Farming for BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada. “Working together with Canada’s top digital agriculture experts at EMILI, we can help Canadian growers produce more, manage risk better and farm more sustainably using tools that are both innovative and farm-ready.”
xarvio® FIELD MANAGER will be one of approximately 30 technology solutions being tested and demonstrated on EMILI’s Innovation Farms this season and will be highlighted during field tours and demonstrations.
