A recent Manitoba Cooperator article highlights proposed updates to drone spraying guidelines and research being conducted to be ready when that happens.
Spraying agricultural pesticides with a drone still isn’t legal in Canada — although proposed Health Canada rules may clear the way — but Manitoba’s farm innovators are getting ready for the day that changes.
“There are a lot of different working groups across Canada doing really fantastic work,” said Leanne Koroscil, innovation farms manager with the Enterprise Machine Intelligence Learning Initiative.
EMILI is one of those groups running trials, gathering data and honing agriculture’s understanding of best drone spraying practices.
