EMILI celebrated its 10th anniversary during EMILI Field Day on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at EMILI’s Innovation Farms powered by AgExpert. The event brought together close to 150 attendees to celebrate 10 years of innovation and collaboration in agtech.
Attendees at EMILI Field day came from across Manitoba, Canada, and abroad to explore how digital technologies are shaping the future of agriculture, and to learn about the work EMILI is doing to drive agriculture innovation.
Four industry leaders, including Verge Ag, Corteva Agriscience, Duck Foot Parts, and PTx Trimble were on site to give first-hand demonstrations of their cutting-edge solutions.

Kevin Falk, Field Modernization Scientist with Corteva Agriscience gave a demonstration of Corteva’s DJI Agras T50 precision spray drone, which is being used to conduct spray drone trials on EMILI’s Innovation Farms.

Kris Kristjanson from Duck Foot Parts shared information about Duck Foot Parts’ paddle tines, which can increase harvest efficiency, reduce header loss, and help manage straw residue.

Tom Gruszkowski with Verge Ag gave an overview of the Verge Ag’s interactive planning software. EMILI is testing Verge Ag‘s supervised autonomy solution that turns existing seeding and spraying equipment into route-following machines using the autosteer and GPS hardware that producers already own on Innovation Farms this season.

Dinen Subramaniam and Avery Simundsson with PTx Trimble demonstrated the company’s OutRun platform, which helps producers free up labour resources and improve farm operation efficiency.

Guests took part in Innovation BINGO, had their photos taken at the 10th anniversary photo booth, and enjoyed a BBQ lunch. As part of the event, EMILI collected donations for Harvest Manitoba.
