Evaluating in-field irrigation monitoring technology
EMILI worked with Arable to evaluate the benefits of adopting its in-field irrigation monitoring technology on prairie potato production.
Arable Mark 3 provides real-time data on weather, and crop water demand to help growers optimize irrigation decisions. In collaboration with EMILI, the Arable Mark 3 device was deployed in a potato field at Innovation Farms where it collected a variety of weather and plant specific information such as precipitation, crop performance, evapotranspiration, and crop imagery. The solution aims to reduce water use, energy costs, and nitrogen leaching, while improving yield and quality.
