About the technology

Crop Intelligence is a data-driven agronomic tool that uses in-field sensors to measure soil moisture and weather conditions, calculating Water Driven Yield Potential (WDYP) in real-time to enable more informed agronomic decisions. By comparing available moisture, rainfall, and crop demand, it helps farmers optimize fertilizer placement, manage irrigation, and predict yields.

Irrigated and Dryland hardware

GROSSE ISLE, MACGREGOR (2026)

In 2026 EMILI deployed Dryland and Irrigated Farming Ultra hardware packages in wheat, canola, corn and potato fields at Innovation Farms

Crop Intelligence Irrigated Farming Ultra is a hardware and software solution that combines wireless soil moisture probes and rain buckets with a weather station to measure WDYP and enable insights into the amount of irrigation to apply to reach target yields. EMILI is exploring the impact of WDYP modelled in potato fields on Innovation Farms MacGregor site. The insights being researched with these stations will help provide additional insight on how to best utilize water from both irrigation and rainfall.

Crop Intelligence Dryland Farming Ultra is a hardware and software solution designed for dryland farmers to measure WDYP and environmental factors to optimize crop performance without relying on irrigation. EMILI is exploring the impact of WDYP modelled in canola, corn, and wheat fields on Innovation Farms Grosse Isle site. The insights being researched with these stations will help to provide additional understanding on how to best utilize water available to the crop.
