About the technology
Redekop Manufacturing‘s Seed Control Unit (SCU) is a high-speed impact mill system that is attached to a combine. Weed and volunteer grain seeds enter the unit during harvest, are destroyed by the mill, and are spread back on the ground.

Redekop Manufacturing is running a three year project at Innovation Farms to validate the ROI of their harvest weed SCU. Combines equipped with the harvest weed SCU will gather ROI metrics from controlling weeds and reducing herbicide applications on Innovation Farms.
