On April 9, 2025, EMILI welcomed members of the Prairies East Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (PESAI) to Innovation Farms.
Approximately 20 producers and researchers gathered at EMILI’s Innovation Farms powered by AgExpert for a tour of Innovation Farms Centre, followed by a presentation on some of the innovative agtech solutions being tested, validated and demonstrated this season at Innovation Farms.

Innovation Farms Manager Leanne Koroscil shared stories of what EMILI is learning about agriculture technologies such as as the Elmer’s Manufacturing Motherbin, Geco Strategic Weed Management’s predictive AI tool, and the Agi3 Crop Sentry system. These projects are among approximately 30 collaborations taking place this season.
PESAI serves agriculture producers in the Eastern and Interlake regions of Manitoba. It is one of four Manitoba Diversification Centres. These non-profits, directed by local producers and industry, conduct applied research and demonstrations on crops, technology, and best management practices to meet the unique needs of the local communities they serve.

EMILI hosts field tours and demonstrations on Innovation Farms throughout the season to showcase new agricultural technologies, expand innovation opportunities, and increase understanding and adoption of digital tools.
