EMILI launched the Emergence Grant to support digital agriculture entrepreneurs with a focus on supporting and empowering women and Indigenous entrepreneurs.

From 2021-2023, EMILI’s Emergence Grants funded over 220k toward emerging technologies by prairie innovators. This funding opened doors for small to medium organizations and increased the capacity of agtech startups and scale-ups in the province.

2024 Grant Recipients

Alterra Innovations

EMILI is working with Alterra Innovation to validate its GrainTracker system.

EMILI's Emergence Grant helped Dacotah Malt increase digital automation and streamline production.

Geco Strategic Weed Management

EMILI's Emergence Grant allows Geco to access drone and satellite imagery to analyze and document susceptible and herbicide-resistant weeds.

GreenAero Tech

EMILI’s funding supports the integration of LiDAR technology, accelerating the development of GreenAero Tech's elevation mapping service.

InputsPro

EMILI supported the development of a mobile application designed to provide growers and agronomists with essential crop data.

N49 Genetics

N49 Genetics is developing a precision plot planter to accelerate the development of soybean breeding with improved stress tolerance traits.

Receiving an Emergence Grant helped NeoNutes secure additional funding for an automated modular grow pod.
