EMILI is working with the Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute to support the adoption of digital agriculture technology in Canada. As the digitization of the economy continues to accelerate, it is imperative that the agri-food sector leverages digital technology to drive productivity and sustainability. This is a critical policy conversation as conversation related to the next agricultural policy framework (2028-2033).
The Digital Agri-Food Policy Forum brings together leaders from industry, technology, research, and government to advance digital agriculture in Canada and address the need for greater cross-sector dialogue. At its inaugural meeting, participants identified priorities including technology adoption, data governance, workforce skills, farmer-centred innovation, and AI. Future discussions will focus on practical opportunities to help scale innovation across Canada’s agri-food sector.
