EMILI is collaborating with the National Policy Consensus Centre at Portland State University to develop a data governance framework for the National Agricultural Producers Data Cooperative (NAPDC) at the University of Nebraska.

This project will work with stakeholders from across the NAPDC community to develop a data governance framework for the organization. This will be done using the collaborative engagement approach developed by the National Policy Consensus Centre.  

Status Updates

  • February 2025: Initial on-on-one interviews with potential working group members
  • November 2024: Project approval by the University of Nebraska

Background

The National Agricultural Producers Data Cooperative is a project led by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and funded by a USDA-NIFA grant. Since its creation, the NAPDC has supported a number of research projects that are exploring the use of agriculture data to enhance resilience and productivity. The NAPDC is also a supporting member of Agriculture Data Transparent.
